Firestone 600-16 Blackwall Tires. According to Coker Tire, the Firestone 600-16 bias-ply tire is THE TIRE for a Pre-WWII Ford. It features a black sidewall, and it's the original sizing for 1935 through 1953 Ford, 1935 through 1947 Hudson and many more. Buzz DeChamp's 1931 Ford Model A Roadster, of San Francisco, California was completed in 1952.
Bill Jerry's 1932 Ford Roadster of Jay, Maine. The build started as a 5-Window Coupe in 1949. In 1951, he replaced the coupe body with a roadster body. By early 1952, it underwent a substantial aesthetic update, receiving a fresh coat of paint at a local Chrysler dealership. The car ran 6.00-16 Tires up front, and 6.50-16 Tires in the back.
Jim Lewis' 1936 Ford 3-Window Coupe, of Orange, California, was painted by Brownie's Body Shop, Buena Park, and upholstered by Jim Berry of Santa Ana.
David Conrad's 1936 Ford 3-Window Coupe of Kirkwood, Missouri. Completed in February of 2014, David fit the coupe with Firestone 600-16 Blackwall Tires. "From the start I know I wanted black walls but I tried white walls just to see and quickly bought a set of black walls. I like the late 40's look," David told Kustomrama.
