Jim Kierstead's 1929 Ford Model A Roadster, of Inglewood, California. Jim built this roadster when he was 16 in 1939.
Bob Hart's 1932 Ford Roadster was restyled in Nassau, New York between 1938 and 1939. A very rare pre-war east coast custom.
Link Paola's 1940 Ford Convertible was customized before the new 1940 Ford was introduced to the public in in 1939.
Earl Bruce's 1940 Ford Three-Window Coupe
Albrecht Goertz' 1940 Mercury of Los Angeles, California. Known as the Paragon, Albrecht's Mercury was restyled in 1939. Once completed, it was shown at the 1939 World Exhibition in New York. Albrecht went on to become a noted BMW designer.
Bill Hughes' Roadster of Denver, Colorado. Frank Kurtis built the car for Bill in 1939, and it was built around a Miller-Ford race car engine.

In 1939, SCTA Road Runners member George Harvey became the S.C.T.A. Season Champion. George was the second winner of the award, and fellow club member Ernie McAfee had won the first award in 1938.[1]
