Tommy owned four Talbot Lago's that he raced. He purchased them through Luigi Chinetti, the famous Ferrari dealer and authorized representative of the Figoni et Falsachi coachwork house of Paris.

The Davis Motorcar Company, housed in the old airport hangar, operated nearby.[1] Tommy owned three of these rare Talbot-Lagos—chassis 90107, 90108, and 90105—all of which survive today. The car shown in this photo is chassis 90108.

1938 Talbot Lago 150 SS owned and raced by Tommy Lee. In 1939, Tommy bought two 1938 Talbot Lago 150 SS' that were shipped to the US the same year. These had chassis numbers #90108 and #90107. Tommy owned four Talbot Lago's that he raced. He purchased them through Luigi Chinetti, the famous Ferrari dealer and authorized representative of the Figoni et Falsachi coachwork house of Paris.

While Tommy owned 90108, it was well-known for being blasted up and down the local boulevards and for competing against hot rods at the dry lakes.

After Tommy passed away, the cars were consigned to Roger Barlow's International Motors in Los Angeles. 90108 was sold to Al Moss, a MG dealer in California. From there, it changed hands a few times before it ended up with a private collector in Switzerland. The collector restored the car to its original color. The restoration took 4,700 hours of work, and they managed to save 85% of the original car in a level of restoration that made the car feel as it did when Tommy Lee owned it. In November of 2015, it was driven on the road for the first time in 60 years.
