Tim Mounts' 1929 Ford
1929 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup owned by William W. Wilson of Santa Ana, California. William owned the pickup in 1952. Later on in 1952 he sold it to Chester Vosburg Jr. of Mojave, California. Chester kept it for a short perod of time, before he sold it to James Milroy Cambell of China Lake, California in 1952.[1]
Tim Mounts of Lafayette, Indiana bought the pickup at the NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky in 2009. The seller told Tim that pinstriping on the car was performed by non other than Von Dutch. At the time the fenders had been repainted, while the remainder of the body wore old paint and striping. Tim also got a matching 110 buck knife with the car. There is a plaque on the dash that says it was an exhibit of honor at the rod and custom show in San Mateo, California in 1956. After he bought the truck, Tim found a photo of the pickup in an issue of Rodding and Re-styling January 1957. He was also able to locate an old photo of the car on eBay. In the photo, the car is shown wearing a Pickups of East Bay plaque.[1]
