Pennsylvania Autorama
Pennsylvania Autorama 1954
The first annual Pennsylvania Autorama was held August 29-30, 1954. The photos presented here are from the collection of Hank Wieand Bowman, an author, photographer, and sportsman who wrote for “men’s magazines” in the 1950s and early 1960s. Hank died in an offshore power boat racing accident in the early 1960s. The photos are courtesy of Craig, Shanon, and Tracy Bowman who gave Antiqueynot the opportunity to steward the collection. Craig and Shanon have been very prominent in Stock Outboard power boat racing for decades, being both builders and racers. They each have been National Champions in their classes many times.[1]
