Custom cars were gaining popularity in Stockholm in the mid 1960s, and the hottest trend at the time was to have canted quad headlights and a bumperless front end design that incorporated a rolled pan. 1954 Ford Convertible owned and restyled by Ola Olsson of Sweden. Ola bought the Ford in 1965, after meeting Bo "Gamen" Sandberg and his friends in Stockholm. Custom cars were gaining popularity in Stockholm in the mid 1960s, and the hottest trend at the time was to have canted quad headlights and a bumperless front end design that incorporated a rolled pan. Ola was into this trend as well, and the front end of the Ford was heavily massaged. The bumper was scrapped and a new grille opening, incorporating a rolled pan, was fabricated. Canted quad headlights were grafted on to the front fenders before the hood was shaved for chrome and ornamentation. The rear bumper was also replaced with a rolled pan before Ola mounted a spare-tire cover between the quarter panels. In 2014 Ola told Kustomrama that he believed the canted quad headlight trend came from Chrysler automobiles that the Stockholm kids had seen in Hot Rod magazines.[1]

Ola traded the Ford for a Volvo Amazon in 1967, when he started to study. It swapped hand 2-3 times before it ended up in the woods. In 2015 it still sat abandoned in the woods.
