1929 Ford Model A roadster owned and built by Chris Casny of Hollywood, California. In 2011, at a local cruise, an older gentleman, Art Fernandez of La Canada California, approached Chris and said he had a 29 roadster on deuce rails he would like to sell. Phone numbers where exchanged and a few days later, a deal was struck. Chris wasn't looking for another project but he couldn't pass this one up. Essentially, this car is being built for his wife Gloria Casny. According to Art, the car used to race El Mirage and Muroc back in the 1940s. It also spent some time in Portland, Oregon, before it was brought back to California.[1]

When taring it apart, Chris found its past colors, which included a nice dark blue, metalflake black and silver, then yellow. The body sat on a original 1932 Ford frame, and came with chopped windshield stanchions, an Auburn dash, and a tonneau cover had been installed, as evidence of holes and snaps suggest. It had two sets of taillights , first a set of 1939 Ford units and then later a set of 1951 Buick taillights.[1]

Chris installed a Winters quickchange rear end with 1936 Ford bells and axleshafts, a 1956 Chevrolet 265 engine, and a F-1 steering assembly. The 1929 Ford hoodsides were lengthened to cover the engime, and a custom made aluminum hoodtop was made. A 1932 Auburn dash and insert was installed, equipped with Stewart-Warner rear mount gauges. 1941 Hudson taillights were installed as well. The car will be done with a tonneau cover and a regular chopped roadster top, shiny paint, and a nice period correct upholstery.[1]
