The Coca-Cola car
It was the racing and show promotor Picko Troberg who 1972 gave Anders Lake the task to build this Coke-can car inspired by a cartoon picture.
Anders took a frame from a DAF F3 racer that was was equipped with many different parts from Pickos collection.
The Chevy engine is connected to a VW gearbox. The seat is the same as was used on the Project Trans Am trike.
The can shaped body was made in sections in fiberglass from a mould Anders made in sheet metal.
There was a lot of adaptions to make everything fit together. Lamps and electrical items were connected via a 230/6 V transformator.
The car is built to be driveable even though it never happened.
It was displayed at the Hot Rod Show 1973 Marmorhallarna
The full story of the car (by Anders himself) is in Colorod 3/1973.
