Postcard from YCP

The "Trans Am" was a project by Anders Lake and started 1972 on demand from Bo "Gamen" Sandberg.

"Gamen" had built his first VW-based trike already in 1969, we don't know from where the inspiration came to build a new one.

Anders Lake and Pelle Karlsson started 1972 "The Trike fabric" by manufacturing frames, forks, adapters and other parts to fit into the koncept of having a VW engine in front and by an adapter and reversed flywheel getting correct weight conditions. They both had built their own trikes that way.
They also lived in Bandhagen not far from Bosse in Örby!

The project (documented by Anders and Bo) was followed in several issues of Colorod magazine.

The trike was first displayed at Hot Rod Show 1973 Marmorhallarna and at several motor exhibitions the years after.

We believe it was taken to England, as "Gamen" moved there in the late 1970s. Further destiny is unknown.
