Tyrants was a car club out of San Fernando Valley

Back in the mid 1960s Jim Arkin and Johnny Geyer formed the San Fernando Valley Illusions car club along with some college friends. The boys were into custom lowriders, and 7 or 8 of the cars in the club featured lifts installed by Dick & Ron's of Huntington Park, California. There weren't a lot of cars around back then that had lifts all the way around. In fact there weren't a lot of lifts. According to Jim Arkin most people in the valley went to Cohea Muffler shop in San Fernando, and either had J bolts or blocks installed to lower their cars.[1]
