12.04.2022 - Nelson LaFrancis' 1932 Ford 5-Window Coupe. Originally hot rodded in Agawam, Massachusetts in 1955 and 1956. The car was put away in 1973. It changed hands in 1983 and was restored in 1993 - 1999. The body was channeled 7 inches over the frame. The frame was Z'ed front and rear, and the grille was shortened 2 inches. It runs an extended aluminum hood and a ZZ4 small-block 345 hp Chevy engine with a T-350 automatic transmission and floor shifter. The suspension is a homemade true 4-wheel independent suspension that Nelson fabricated back in the 1950s. 11.26.2021 - 1932 Ford Roadster. All steel, real Henry Ford Roadster. Supposedly built and raced in the 1940s, but there is no provenance to the car. Located in Columbus, Ohio, the car was advertised for sale on eBay in November of 2021. It was listed with a US $45,000 starting bid, and a US $65,000 Buy It Now price. Dayton Jaguar style wire wheels and wide whitewall tires. 1936 Oldsmobile hood sides and 1949 Hudson taillights. New 1932 Ford frame. Pete and Jake's front disc brakes. 02.18.2021 - Phil Cool's 1932 Ford Roadster. Cool's 32 made a splash when it made its debut at the 1978 Grand National Roadster Show. Built in an era of wild show cars and creativity, Cool wanted to look back to the roots of hot rodding when he set out to build his 32. A decision that helped him take home the 1978 America's Most Beautiful Roadster Award. It landed the cover of Hot Rod July 1978 and has since then been voted as one of the "Top 20 Trend Setting Rods of All Time," one of "The 75 Most Significant '32 Ford Hot Rods," and one of the "100 Most Influential Hot Rods of All Time." A heavy hitter of a hot rod, in other words. Quint and Shirley Meland bought the car in 1998. They have taken good care of the iconic hot rod, and Quint has now decided to let it go. This is a true survivor. It still looks as good as it did back in 1978. It has never been restored, and it still features the paint job that Cool laid in 1977. 06.12.2020 - The ElDorodder. 1932 Ford Tudor Sedan. Build started by ElDorodders car club President Bill White in the 1950s. Bill passed away in 1959, and it sat unfinished tucked away in a barn for many years. Build completed in recent years. Completed as the owner felt the car may have looked for the hot rod show circuit in the 1950s. Painted Dark Cherry Pearl, it is powered by a Cadillac 390 ci V8 with a Ford 3-speed transmission. Low miles. Powered by a 1959 Pontiac 389 motor, it runs two 4s, an Isky cam, B&M 4 speed hydro, a Mercury rear end, a chromed axle, and 1940 Ford front brakes. 03.01.1964 - Mick Vargo's 1932 Ford 5-Window Coupe of San Jose, Calfornia. Candy Apple red Metalflake. 1960 Chevrolet Corvette engine. Complete chromed undercarriage. U.S. Royal Masters, chromed and reversed wheels. White Naugahyde upholstery. The car was advertised for sale in Hot Rod Magazine March 1964. The asking price was US $1,750, or trade for late model Impala or Corvette. $1,750 in 1964 was worth $14,473 in May of 2020.
03.01.1964 - Leon Kendrick's 1932 Ford 5-Window Coupe of Houston, Texas. Known as the Wild Deuce," Kendrick's coupe was featured in several magazines back in the days. It featured an all chrome running gear, was powered by a full house Corvette engine, and Leon advertised it for sale for US $2,495 in Hot Rod Magazine March 1964. 2,495 dollars in 1964 are equivalent to 20,765 dollars in 2020.
