Gene Winfield's 1931 Ford Model A Roadster
Gene Winfield's second car. Gene hopped the roadster up by replacing the stock four-banger with a 1937 Ford flathead V-8 that he shaved the heads on and equipped with a home made dual carburetor manifold. Gene did also mount a dashboard and a windshield from a 1937 Ford on the car. The windshield that came from aclosed car was molded in to fill the gaps. Gene did also put a chrome band around the spare tire of the car. The wheels were swapped from 19 to 16 inches. Gene did also modify the car with a grille shell from a 1932 Ford. Gene sold the roadster so that he could build his 1927 Ford Model T Roadster.
