Galpin Motors
Galpin Motors is a San Fernando Valley based Ford dealer. Frank Galpin opened up Galpin Ford in San Fernando, California in 1946. Frank's showroom held 3 cars, and he sold 46 vehicles in the first year of business.[1]
First custom car build
In 1952 Frank Galpin's 1952 Ford Convertible became the first custom to roll out of Galpin Motors. Modified with Mercury and Lincoln parts, the car made its debut at the Motorama before it went on to grace the cover of Motor Trend June 1953.[1]
