The Glen Smith Special of San Fernando, California. Inspired by the exclusive Model J Duesenberg's, Glen's race car was constructed using various Ford-components. June 14, 1931 Glen won the Main Event at the Muroc Roadster Races.
Glen Hooker's 1939 Mercury Convertible of Burbank, California. Restyled by Valley Custom, the build was completed circa 1954-55. It was known as The Caribbean, and Ray Pollard bought the Merc in the Summer or Fall of 1958. At the time, he lived in Pacoima, California. Ray owned it for two years before he traded it for $200 and a 1946 Pontiac fastback in 1960. At the time, he lived with a buddy in San Fernando.
Gordy Brown's 1963 Ford Thunderbird of San Fernando, California. Gordy was originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, but decided to move to Southern California in the early 1960s, after Utah passed a law against altered suspension. The Thunderbird was built at his shop House of Customs around 1963/1964, and it featured hydraulic lifts on all four corners so he could raise it up by the touch of a switch.
