1966 Buick Riviera owned and restyled by Frank De Rosa of Pittsburg, California. Built by Frank at De Rosa Custom Body and Fender in 1983 the car is also known as "The Golden Piranha." De Rosa sold both "The Golden Piranha" and "The Shark" to Bob Bowen of Lodi, California.

Sold to Texas

In 2018, after celebrating his 91st birthday, Frank decided to advertise the car for sale, so it could be enjoyed in the show circuit again. The car was all original, but it was in need of some mechanical attention after a long slumber. In October of 2018 the asking price was $25,000 USD. The Golden Piranha and the Mercury 4 changed hands and were sold to Texas in December of 2018.

No Reserve at the 2019 Russo and Steele Scottsdale Auction

January 19, 2019 the Golden Piranha and the Mercury 4 were offered for sale without a reserve at the 2019 Russo and Steele Scottsdale Auction. The Golden Piranha was sold for $6,000 USD.
