Bob Giovanine and Chuck Spurgin's 1925 Chevrolet
1925 Chevrolet Roadster owned by Bob Giovanine and Chuck Spurgin. The roadster was powered by a Chevrolet four-cylinder fitted with an Oldsmobile head. The car was featured on the cover of Hot Rod Magazine, and it was the SCTA points champion in 1948 when it set a Class A Roadster record of 123.655 mph, a mark that stood unbroken for two years.[2]
Duke Hallock and Bob Rufi were crewmembers on the Giovanine and Spurgin Roadster.[3]
The car, then unrestored was sold at a Bonhams auction at Quail Lodge a few years ago.[2]
