Forey Wall was born in Iowa. He is of Swedish descent and grew up in Minnesota. He eventually moved to California where he began his automotive career by working for a DeSoto/Plymouth dealer in Glendale in 1934. A year later, in 1935, he went on to work for as the parts manager for John Shlifer Chrysler/Plymouth in Huntington Park on Bellegrave and Pacific Blvd. In 1936 he went on to the Chevrolet dealer on Long Beach Blvd. in Southgate working as the the parts manager as well. In 1942 Forey worked in the ship yards as a layout man during the war. After the war he started buying and selling used cars at 10729 Long Beach Blvd. in Lynwood. Forey named his dealership Forey Wall Used Cars. In 1955, Forey formed another dealership with his brother Glen, called Wall Custom Cars. Wall Custom Cars, located at 3900 Fireston Blvd in Southgate was specialized in selling and buying custom cars. In 1963 Forey expanded his business by buying Nick Pastor Imports on Firestone Blvd. in South Gate He ran the business for a couple of years before selling it in 1965. In 1966 Forey and Glen lost their lease on Firestone Blvd, and their moved their used car business to the Bellflower on Alondra Blvd. In 2012 Forey told Kustomrama that the location was not as good as the location in South Gate, and the business never did as well as it used to.[1]


Forey and his brother Glen collected cars, and Forey's personal favorite was a brand new 1962 Chevrolet Impala 409.[1]


93 years old Forey had a heart valve replace. In 2012 he was living in Downey. He turned 99 November 14, 2012, and his health was excellent. He still maintained his own home, drove and shopped all by himself.[1]
