Tommy Inouye's 1950 Ford
1950 Ford Custom owned by Tommy Inouye. The car featured Frenched headlights and taillights, 1954 Kaiser bumpers, 1955 Pontiac side trim and Lincoln hub caps. The rear fenders and gravel shield were molded into the body. Rear fender skirts were kustomized with two teeth. Nose, deck and doors were shaved. The doors and deck were also push button operated. The grille was made from 1956 Dodge components fitted in a 1950 Mercury grille shell. Once completed the car was painted in a two-tone purple lacquer. Inside the car was re-upholstered in black and white Naugahyde.[1] In 1955, Tommy's Ford was shown at the first Rotunda Custom Car Show.
