Ray Russell's Gadabout of Detroit, Michigan. Built largely from aluminum and magnesium, Russell believed his car had post was possibilities. The build was completed in 1944.

Raymond "Ray" Russell of Detroit, Michigan. Ray was an industrial-designer. In 1944 he built an automobile called the "Gadabout" from aluminum and magnesium. At the time, Ray was the President of the Detroit's Industrial Designer's Association.[1]
