Ray James
Ray James started the Samurai Car Club of So. Cal. around 1956 - 1957. In 1958 he joined the Road Lords of So. Cal, and he was a member from 1958 - 1960. Ray's first car was a 1948 Chevrolet convertible. Unfortunately he totaled the '48, and he bought a 1946 Chevrolet convertible afterwards. After the '46 followed a 1956 Buick Special stock 4 speed. Ray attended Fremont High School during the same years as Joe Anderson. In 1959 the Road Lords of So. Cal held a car show in Disneyland called the Disneyland Car Club Day and Autocade. Only one show was held, and Ray was disappointed that the club would not be going forward and work on another show. He left the club shortly afterward.[1]
