Ralph Cheek's 1948 Chevrolet
1948 Chevrolet convertible owned and restyled by Ralph Cheek of Rock Hill, South Carolina. The car featured a shaved hood and a continental kit. The car was lowered 2 1/2 inches, according to Ralph, it was as far as the roads in South Carolina would allow. The car was painted chrome yellow and fit with wide white walls. In the early 1950's, there were no custom or speed shops around in that area, so they could not do much stated Ralph when he sent a picture of his car to Hop Up Magazine.[1]
