Mickey Himsl's 1929 Ford

There was never a lack of cool cars in front of the Himsl house in Concord, California back in the 1950s and the 1960s. This photo shows three of Art Himsl's high school hot rods parked on the street. Photo from The Art Himsl Photo Collection.

1929 Ford Model A Truck owned by Mickey Himsl. Named "Mickey's Mouse", the build was started in the late 1950s. The restored version made it's debut at the 2016 Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, California. Restored by East Bay Speed and Custom, the truck took home awards for Outstanding Use of Color Design, Outstanding Detail, and Outstanding Engine! It did also receive the Von Dutch Pinstriping Award, and the West Coast Kustoms Outstanding Nostalgia Rod Award.
