Matti Johanson's 1957 Ford
1957 Ford Ranchero owned and built by Matti Johansson of Sweden. Matti's Ranchero was built from a 1957 Ford 4 door ambulance station wagon. The rear doors were welded shut, and the remaining roof was chopped 3 inches. The car was fit with a 1958 Edsel front, and the door handles were shaved and replaced with solenoids. In 1965 Matti's Ford was shown at the first annual Hot Rod Show in Stockholm. Matti had 2 cars at the show.[1]
In 2015 Matti's old Ford custom was collecting dust in an old barn, while Matti was busy cloning it. The under-progress clone will be displayed at the Gasoline Magazine Swap Meet April 25, 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden.
