Larry Nixon's 1956 Chevrolet
1956 Chevrolet Nomad owned by Larry Nixon of Tacoma, Washington. In 1967 Dick Page gave Larry's Nomad a fade paint job featuring a candy gold base with candy colors that ranged from yellow to red and dark burgundy. When Larry heard a guy say that the car looked old and faded he got mad and asked Dick if he could add some flames over the fade paint. The car had a stock body, and Dick recalls that the car was classified as a "paint job custom" back then.[1]
