Johnny Hartman's 1927 Ford
1927 Ford Model T Roadster built by Johnny Hartman. Johnny Hartman built the roadster in nine days. Power was supplied by a Wayne Horning built 3-21/32"x3-15/16" GMC/Chevy sporting a 10:1 Wayne head. The nose was a Frank Kurtis V8-60 midget unit, the body was a 1927 Ford which was mounted on a modified Model A classis with torsion bar suspension. The car ran 140 at El Mirage in September 1948.[2]
