John Collins' 1927 Ford
1927 Ford Roadster Pickup built by John Collins. It consisted of a 1927 Ford Model-T body dropped on a 1932 Ford frame with a 1932 Ford grille and a pickup bed on the back. Power was a 24 stud flattie with Denver heads, Navarro intake, Bertrand cam and Spalding ignition. John showed up at the September 21, 1947 S.C.T.A. meet as a member of the So. Cal. Roadster Club with this slick ride. Running in Class B Roadster, he turned 111.66 mph. He entered again in October but didn't show.[1]
