Jackson Paint Store
Jackson Paint Store was a paint and supply shop located at 16827 Bellflower Boulevard in Bellflower, California. Renowned for its association with the custom car and hot rod community, the store supplied materials for some of the most iconic custom paint jobs back in the 1950s and the 1960s.
Larry Watson, a pioneer in custom automotive painting and pinstriping, frequented Jackson Paint Store during the early years of his career. Watson's creative journey began in the 1950s when he developed his signature style, inspired by the works of Von Dutch and Dean Jeffries. Watson's famous 1950 Chevrolet, The Grapevine, featured his self-taught pinstriping using copper paint purchased from Jackson Paint Store.[1]
