A photo of Fredric "Freddy" G. Bearcroft in his Ford Model T Roadster taken in 1932. "May 08, 1932 winner of Muroc," the photo declares. Freddy was a Santa Monica, California, local who built and raced his mechanical marvel, and the vehicle in question appears to be a 1925 or late 1924 Ford Model T that boasts a Model A rear end. Adorning the wheels are whitewall tires, a statement that boldly contradicts the traditionalist view of early hot rods wearing blackwall tires. The passenger is identified as Gil Pearson.
