Frank Sandoval's 1936 Ford
1936 Ford 3-Window coupe owned by Frank Sandoval of Wilmington, California. Frank was born in 1927, he served in the US Army, and Howard Gribble believes that he was in Europe near the end of WWII, so he most likely bought the coupe after he returned from Army service, around 1946 - 1947. The front end of Frank's Ford was modified to accept a flipped 1940 Nash grille. Smooth hood sides were installed, along with ribbed 1937 DeSoto bumpers and amber fog lights. Lowered front and rear, additional accessory included single bar flipper hubcaps, beauty rings, and bubble type fender skirts with 1941 Buick trim. Frank raced motorcycles at Ascot in Gardena, and he had Harleys right up until he passed away. It is not known what happened to his coupe.[1]
