1932 Ford 3-Window Coupe owned by Clyde Hamilton of Bellflower, California. Clyde's coupe was black, full fendered and unchopped. In 2017, Jerry Miller, a close buddy of Clyde, told later owner Mike Griffith, that the car originally ran a 3/8 x 3/8 Flathead with a supercharger.[1]


Pinstriped by Larry Watson

Clyde was class mate with Larry Watson, and in 1955 Larry pinstriped the coupe in white, during his junior year.[2]


Chevrolet Power

In 1956, in an attempt to go faster, Clyde bought a brand new 256 Chevrolet engine. The engine was hopped up, featuring a lot of speed equipment.[1]


Hemi Power

Later on, Clyde installed a powerful Chrysler Hemi engine in the car.[1]


Sold to Jim Noteboom

Clyde's coupe was a street racer, and it featured a 1939 Ford transmission and a Cyclone Quickchange rear end. Clyde ended up in jail due to too many racing and speeding tickets. 2 weeks before Clyde got out of jail, Clyde's mom sold the coupe to Jim Noteboom for $500. Jim took the coupe to Bill DeCarr to have it chopped and shaved. In the early 1960s, after Bill had finished the bodywork, Larry Watson of Watson's House of Style painted the coupe candy lemon over white pearl. Candy lime flames with candy green tips were applied by Larry as well. The flames were pinstriped in black. Jim worked for Larry in the 1950s.[2]

In 2014 the coupe was owned by Mike Griffith.
