The old custom as it sat when Cameron bought it in 2021. Cameron came across the old custom on an online marketplace in 2021. It reminded him of an early custom, so he jumped on the ad shortly after it had been listed. The car was located in Southern California, and according to Cameron, all the bodywork is done with lead, "no bondo or shitty work." Modifications included openings for 1950 Lincoln taillights. Other modifications includes a chopped top, and a channeled and sectioned body. Photo courtesy of Cameron Ballanger.
In addition to frenched headlights, the front of the car had been modified to accept a molded 1949 - 1950 Mercury grille surround. Photo courtesy of Cameron Ballanger.

Lost and Found

1946 Ford Coupe owned by Cameron Ballanger of Anduze, France. Cameron came across the old custom on an online marketplace in 2021. It reminded him of an early custom, so he jumped on the ad buying the car shortly after it had been listed. The Ford was located in Southern California, and according to Cameron, all the bodywork was done with lead, "no bondo or shitty work." Modifications included openings for 1950 Lincoln taillights, a molded 1949 - 1950 Mercury grille surround, molded fenders, frenched headlights, shaved door handles, shaved gas opening, a chopped top, and a channeled and sectioned body.[1]

Do You Recognize Cameron's Coupe?

Cameron bought the Ford from Kenneth Craddock of Visalia, California. Kenneth had owned it for a while, but he couldn't tell Cameron anything about the history of the old custom. After buying the car, Cameron spent months trying to trace the history of the car. He couldn't come up with anything, except for a man that told him he had previously seen the car many years ago. The car will be shipped to France, where Cameron will restore it back to its former glory. In order to treat the car right, Cameron would love to know more about its history.
