Bill Faris' 1938 Ford
1938 Ford owned by Throttle Stompers member Bill Faris of Burbank, California. At first, Bill did some minor changes to his Ford. He began by removing the hood ornament. Then the deck lid was smoothed, the license plate was recessed, Buick fender skirts were added and finally the top was chopped. Carson Top Shop fabricated and installed a beautiful padded top for the car. The body was painted Washington Blue. Link Paola and Bill reworked the rear left fender to mount a 1941 Ford gas filler cover door. They did this while they were in the air-force. With the only tools being avalibale at the time were a ballpen hammer, a piece of pipe and a few odd pliers.[1]
