Arne Lindstrand (b. July 7 1942) of Stockholm, Sweden.
He growed up in Kärrtorp, south of Stockholm, and spend much time at Hasse Brobergs family who lived in a house at Enskedefältet close by.

Arne worked as a sheet metal worker together with Bosse "Gamen" Sandberg (who was a car painter), at Ernst Nilsson, and he helped Gamen in their spare time.
Like the construction of Purple Passion Model T as well as several other cars.[1]

Arne preferred tin to mould with instead of the "new" Plastic Padding.

During his military service he could sell his Volvo PV and afford to buy a real American car, a 2 door hardtop Chevrolet 1955, from a mobile salesman.
The car became a popular transportation vehicle to and from the Military station. He got stopped by police at one occasion with 8 people in the car!

The car was restored and customized by Arne, read the story below:

Arne used the Chevy a lot and raced at the 'First Go' in Anderstorp. The first Dragracing event in Sweden.
Later, he sold the car, as the interest went to boats. Together with "Sillarna" - Hasse Broberg and Kjell Gustad, they prepared the boat 'Pride' for a long trip over the Atlantic ocean, ending up in Florida. That is another story.

Many trips went to the United States and California together with 'Junken' -Lars Erik Ljungkvist and Bosse "Gamen" Sandberg, looking for old cars to restore and take to Sweden. He shared the interest for aeroplanes with 'Junken', and ran several aircrafts together with him.

Back home in Sweden, he got married, settled down outside Nyköping and runs a car mechanics shop. Many cars has passed through his hands and he is still very active with new projects and ideas.
