Alex Idzardi's 1936 Ford
1936 Ford 3-Window Coupe owned by Alex Idzardi of Riverside, California. Alex found the car at the end of 2005. After 2 years of building, the coupe was first shown at the 2008 Grand National Roadster Show. It features a louvered hood and has been lowered in front by installing a 4 inch dropped Moore axle and reshaping rear crossmember. The car features a bored, stroked, ported, polished and balanced and relieved 284 cubic inch 8BA Ford flathead fit with adjustable Johnson valves, an Iskenderian cam, high-compression Offenhauser heads and a Thickstun high rise intake with a pair of Stromberg 97 carbs. The engine is backed up by a 1939 Ford transmission. The car runs on 16" 1940 Ford steelies fit with 5.50x16 and 7.50 Firestone bias-plys. Stopping power is provided by 1940 Ford hydraulic brakes. The blue and white upholstery was done in Tijuana, Mexico.
