Wes Collins was a member of the Road Runners SCTA club, he was also a crew member for Vic Edelbrock. Wes was also the brother of Vic's wife Katherine Edelbrock.[1]
During the second world war Wes was stationed in Burma. After Wes was discharged from the army, he returned to California as a different person. He never discussed what he had went through during the war, but his siste Katie knew it had devastated his spirit. One evening Wes ended his life with a single gunshot.[1]
