1975 Saab 96 custom owned and built by Marco Hämäläinen of Orimattila, Finland. Known as the "WaSaabi," Marco's Saab has been turned into a futuristic bubble topped custom.[1]

Father and Son Project

Honoring crazy customs of the 1950s and the 1960s, the WaSaabi was a father and son project. Marco and his son Mico's initial plan was to chop the roof and build a traditional custom car. "But when the roof was off, our ideas went flying," Marco told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama in August of 2022. "That's when the idea of the bubble top came. And after that, the whole build got out of hand." The bubble was cut from a big roof window that is used in factory and big hall roofs, and Marco explains that they have a local factory in town that makes them. Featuring a green sparkling Metalflake paint job with gold details, the build was completed in the spring of 2021.[1]
