Tom Franken's 1940 Ford

Tom Franken of Cincinnati, Ohio sent a picture of his 1940 Ford which he and his father improved. The body was lowered three inches. 15 inch Mercury wheels were added to give it a lower appearance. The 3/4 race flathead was hopped up with dual carburetors, exhaust and ignition. The bumpers were replaced by 1948 Ford units. The body was painted snow shoe white, the upholstery was done in red and black Naugahyde.[1]
