70 years later. Jiggs in his recovered car. In the Summer of 2022, Susan sold the roadster back o the Trowell family, as the granddaughter of Jiggs bought it for his 96th birthday. Photo courtesy of Frank Brown.

1932 Ford Roadster owned and built by Jiggs and J.D. Trowell of Dallas, Texas. Jiggs and J.D were famous circle track racers. Built around 1952, the car was powered by an Oldsmobile engine. "They raced this car at the Caddo Mills Drag Strip near Dallas," Frank Brown told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama in 2020, adding that it was the first NHRA sanctioned strip east of California.[1]


Restored by Jim Bobowski

Later on, Jim Bobowski of New Jersey purchased the car and had it restored. In June of 2020, it was owned by Susan Sweety Gonzon. Susan bought the car from Jim around 2016. After buying it, Susan has shown that car all over the US.[1]


Happy 96th Birthday, Jiggs

In the Summer of 2022, Susan sold the roadster back o the Trowell family, as the granddaughter of Jiggs bought it for his 96th birthday.[1]
