The Shrimplin Brothers Custom
Tucker 48 inspired custom built by the brothers Marion "Bud" William and Thomas Edward Shrimplin of Kansas.
One of the brothers wrote about the car in the Tucker Topics, the Tucker Club Newsletter, and according to Larry Clark, the car was built in the early 1950s. The brothers used a chassis from a 1935 Buick four-door sedan that they fitted with 1941 Chevrolet front fenders, 1936 Oldsmobile rear fenders, and a Kaiser hood. Galvanized metal was used to form the cowl, floor, and rear body compartment. One of the brothers built the bumper-grille and the Cyclops-eye mechanism. It was originally painted in a green/blue metallic color. In 2019 it was not known what became of the car.[1]
