The Contreras Bros Vega is a Chevy Vega owned and raced by Henry Contreras and his brother. The car ran a fiberglass body. In 1977 Joe Navarro painted the Vega. Joe's son Steve did the layout of all of the flame and graphics, while Joe laid the paint.

Early in March of 2013 Tony Gomez and his helper Jesse put down the final coat of primer on the Vega. The team had been doing a great prep work, and the body became a lot straighter then expected considering how rough those early fiberglass bodies were. Tony is the nephew of Joe Navarro, who gave the car it's original flame paint job in 1977. Tony learned the trade from Joe, so when Henry wanted to restore the Vega, Tony was his first choice when it came to the paint job.
