Teen Angel

Teen Angel is a legendary lowbrow artist. His real name was Dave Holland. Teen Angel came off as a super Cholo gangster type guy. He was a very private person, and he didn't do a lot of public appearances. What most people don't know was in fact that Teen Angel was not Mexican. Something that probably accounts for a lot of the reasons why he was reluctant to be personally identified with his work and name. Dave grew up around the culture, and he adopted it. Back in the early days of lowriding, people like Dave were called "White Beaners" by the white guys.

Teen Angel did artwork for Lowrider Magazine back in their early days. He went on to do his own Teen Angel Magazine. Teen Angel's magazine was a one-man show, with him doing the art, old school paste up, handling the printing and the distribution.
