Sydney Allard
Sydney Allard built the first US inspired dragster of UK. After building the dragster, known as The Allard Chrysler Dragster, he invited Dean Moon to come to the UK with his Mooneyes dragster so they could race. Mickey Thompson hears about the race, and decided to go as well with The Harvey Aluminum Special.[1]
