1961 Ford Thunderbird owned and restyled by Stan Robles of Salt Lake City, Utah. Stan built the Thunderbird in Salt Lake in the early 1960s before moving to California. In California Stan began to work for George Barris at Barris Kustoms. Stan would go on to open up his own shop in Orange County, California.[1]

Stan removed the front bumper on the Thunderbird. The hood was extended and a pair of nostril-like scoops were set back from the leading edge. Within the two square grille recesses he fitted a pair of rectangular light boxes filled with quad headlights and frosted covers. The front quarter panels featured a pair of antennas molded into the panel with raised mounts. According to the Big Book of Barris, the moment George saw the Thunderbird, he loved its look and the way Stan had done the work. "It was elegant and crisp-looking - different from what ewe were doing in California." The car was also lowered and fit with chrome reverse wheels.[2]
