Rune Jonsson's 1935 Hudson convertible
In Borlänge, Sweden, lives Rune Jonsson who bought his rare 1935 Hudson convertible in 1959 - at 14 years of age!
The original driveline was missing but was first replaced with a Chevrolet engine and hydraulic brakes from Plymouth.
Rune's father Einar had a car shop so Rune grew up with oily hands working there besides school.
There were some exciting rides in the neighbourhood even though he hasn't reached the age for a driving license.
In 1967, Rune found a wrecked Ford Fairlane and could take the whole driveline from the car including a 289 ci V8 and transmission,
making the car one of the first Hot rods in Sweden.
Interior is from a from Wolseley and a very careful body restoration makes the car unique.
-"I don't like to drill holes in things", Rune says.
By time he had completed the car with original hard-to-find Hudson parts at several swap-meets and contacts.
