Swedish Model T Roadster Pickup owned and built by Ronnie Haglund aka "Rompa".

Ronnie built his car in 1967 in the Road Knights barn in Huddinge together with other Swedish hot rodders such as Olle Bergström, Junken and Bengt Wennergren.
The frame was built from square tubing, and the body was made from fiberglass.
He found an original radiator mask on a Swap meet in Södertälje, later he was harassed by vintage car people accusing him for destroying a T-Ford!
Ronnie was a skilled welder and helped many with metal work. The engine is a 327 ci Chevy with TH350 transmission.

The car was known as "Spader Ess".
Ronnie used the car a lot both on the street and dragracing but never got approved by law although he did an inspection in 1968.

Sadly, the car encountered a heavy fire when parked on a street in Stockholm. But Ronnie managed to build up the car again.
Håkan Wikström did the pinstriping on the new body.

Ronnie sold the car 1973 to a dentist in Stockholm, P-O Söderberg. As the car was not approved, Ronnie and P-O tried again with Svensk Bilprovning,
stating it was a 1968 year model and must follow the regulations of that time. They succeeded finally with some hard paper work and minor modifications to get it
street legal in 1974!

It has been seen at American Racing premises in Linköping assumably for renovation.

Rumors say that the finance man and jet-set Aje Philipsson owns it today, one of his 145 vehicles!
