Rodrigo Magallones' 1931 Ford
1931 Ford Model A Coupe built by The Jalopy Shoppe for Rodrigo Magallones. Rodrigo's chopped coupe was installed on an angled 1932 Ford. The stockdash was replaced with a 1940 Ford dash. In 2008, when the coupe was shown at the 59th Grand National Roadster Show it was powered by a 1953 Studebaker engine.
Rodrigo traded the coupe for a trophy truck. Early in 2010 Steve Cossette of Medina, Minnesota worked on the car for a customer. Wanting a more traditional hot rod, the chassis was sold to a guy from the west side of Nebraska. In June of 2010 the body and wheels went to Austin Speed Shop for a new chassis. New floors were made before the body was mounted on a 1932 Ford frame. The frame featured a polished Quickchange rear-end and a chromed front end. Austin Speed Shop did also mount Steve's beautifully polished flathead engine. Austin Speed Shop completed the build in November of 2010.
