Riky Barnes' 1923 Ford
1923 Ford Model T Phaeton built by Masterson Kustoms for Riky Barnes of Newport Beach, California. Riky's tub is the second economy Hot Rod that Brad built. The idea was to have a car that appears cool, is dependable, and cheap on gas. Brad and Riky started off with making the frame from square tubing. A fiberglass Phaeton body was aquired, and a Chevrolet K5 was chosen to donate the running gear from. The engine is a V6, that is more than enough to make the light weight car go. Up front, a dropped tube axle was installed, and the frame was kicked up in the rear. It was fit with a 5 speed stick shift, also from the K5, along with the rear axle. Riky and Brad began gathering parts in 2013, and it was completed in 2015.[1]
