Reno Garcia's 1947 Buick
1947 Buick Sedanette originally owned and restyled by Reno Garcia of Brentwood, California.[1] Reno's Buick featured a 1948 Lincoln grill, and 1949 Cadillac rear fenders, bumper and hood.

Sold to Bob Sly
In 2017 Reno's grandson told Kustomrama that the Buick was Reno's family car; "When my dad and his sister were born they sold the Buick Bob Sly of Antioch, California, to get something more family friendly. He regretted selling it. He had a few more cars but this is the one he always wanted back."[2]
Rod & Custom June 2011
A photo of the car appeared in Rod & Custom June 2011. The photo was submitted by Coy Thomas of Port Angeles, Washington. According to Coy, Bob sold the car after years of ownership so he could buy a boat. He called it the biggest mistake of his life, and he told Coy he regrets selling it. According to the article, the car was supposedly hidden away in a garage in Central California, with the old registration still on the records.[3]
