Nick Butler is a former aircraft engineer from England.
He started the company Auto Imagination in 1976 as a base for his car projects.

The Revenge was his second built, and it became a tremendous hit with its unique C-cab body design and engineering craftmanship!

The frame holds a Chevrolet 427 ci big block with a 6/71 blower. Automatic transmission and a fully chromed Jaguar rear-end.

It was first shown at the Custom Car Show in London in February 1976, and attended the Hot Rod Show 1977 Sollentunamässan in Stockholm.
At that time painted dark green, later the color was changed to dark blue for a while, then purple as it still is.

It was voted UK Hot Rod of the Century by the NSRA!

Nick sold the car at an auction as he needed money for his other project - "Cirrus". The buyer was a collecor/investor who left it in a barn in Surrey for many years. An employee at this "collector" obtained it in 1996, tried to start it but it didn't work so he took it to the Auto Imagination shop and Nick Butler.
It was complete but rotten all over.
Nick called Roger Fulker who he knew was interested in buying the car earlier.
Roger moved to Alicante, Spain and took the car with him. It was restored in Spain and brought back to England.

Today, there is a second recommissioning of the car ongoing. It can be followed at this link

Nick made (at least) three more bodies from the same mould. Two of them have been used on Hot Rod builds:

Phil Bowen C-cab NovelT
Summertime Blues C-cab

Body #4 has yet not been built and is 2021 for sale in UK.

Possibly the mould later was taken over by someone named "Karma Frank" who did at least six bodies. They did not have the same quality as Nick Butlers.
