Mike Ness is an American punk rock musician, singer, songwriter, and guitarist, best known as the frontman of the legendary band Social Distortion. Ness is also a custom car enthusiast and founding member of the Lonely Kings Car Club.


Born in 1962, Ness was raised in Fullerton, California. He was exposed to country, rock 'n' roll, and punk rock at an early age. He formed Social Distortion in 1978 and released their debut album in 1983. Throughout the band's career, he has released 10 studio albums with Social Distortion, and two solo albums. His solo albums, Cheating at Solitaire and Under the Influences, have been critically acclaimed and highlighted Ness's influences from various genres. In addition to his work with Social Distortion, Ness has appeared on numerous compilations, contributed to movie soundtracks, and collaborated with other artists.
